Waimea Bay - 1/10/2004
Solid 25 ft. plus thru the AM with 3 sets that closed out the bay resulting in many broken boards and rescues. One wave flushed up past the grass to the bathhouse. Another washed a spectator into the pond. This swell was the first in a series of xx large swells to hit Hawaii in January. It turned out to be the biggest and cleanest of the huge surf that month. Here's a look at some of the action from that day at the bay. |
